Aditech
Increase applications by 16% and reach candidates who'd have dropped off

Everyone knows: more vacancies means more opportunities. But what if those same vacancies create confusion? When a candidate lands on your website, has a look around, and leaves, not because the role isn't there, but because they can't find it? That's where recruitment stalls. Not in the pipeline, but before the click.
Aditech knows that problem well. As a national recruitment and staffing organisation in the technical installation sector, they have built a strong reputation over more than 30 years for their broad network and technical expertise. But an offering of more than 400 open vacancies is also a challenge: straightforward to navigate for the active job seeker, but quickly overwhelming for the candidate who is still exploring. And it's precisely that exploratory candidate, the technician who might be ready for a move but doesn't yet know where, that Aditech wants to reach.
Together with Getnoticed and Reccan, they set up a focused approach to solve this problem structurally. Not with a bigger advertising budget or a new ATS, but with smart optimisation at the place where it all begins: the careers site.
A collaboration with three roles
Serena CMS forms the foundation of Aditech's careers site, scalable, fast, and built to work seamlessly with the tools that genuinely matter in recruitment. Getnoticed built on that foundation by developing the careers website and setting up the analytical infrastructure via Google Analytics, allowing visitor behaviour to be measured with precision. Reccan, as a member of the Serena Tech Community, added a third layer with their orientation widget: a tool designed specifically to guide visitors who are still in an exploratory phase.
Those three roles, platform, implementation partner, smart tech tool, connected without friction. No disconnected systems, no costly development work. Just an integrated approach with one goal: more relevant candidates who actually take the step and apply.
What the Reccan widget does, and who it's for
The average careers site serves the active job seeker well: someone who knows what they're looking for, finds a vacancy, and applies. But a large share of site traffic is made up of people who work differently. They're curious. They're considering a move. They browse without knowing where to start. And when faced with 400+ vacancies, they drop off — not because the motivation isn't there, but because the barrier is too high.
The Reccan orientation widget targets precisely this group. Through a brief interaction, it helps visitors find the right direction based on their situation and preferences. No lengthy forms, no decision fatigue. Just a logical next step, at exactly the moment the visitor needs it.
The result is that latent job seekers, people who would otherwise leave, do make it through to a relevant vacancy and ultimately apply. Not because they've been persuaded, but because they've been guided.
The results
To measure the impact of the widget, Getnoticed and Reccan carried out a joint data analysis covering the period from February through to August. The outcomes were concrete and measurable.
During that period, 494 unique candidates applied via the website, with an average conversion rate of 4% — the share of all website visitors who submitted an application. Thanks to the orientation widget, that figure rose to 5%: a growth of 16%, accounting for 80 additional applicants on top of existing inflow. No extra advertising spend, no new channel. The same visitors, better guided.
That is precisely what CRO optimisation on a careers site is about: getting the most out of the traffic that's already there.
